Global agriculture is under pressure to meet the needs of rising populations given the limited resources. But climate change shows no signs of compromising. It’s still changing — now faster than ever.
Today’s era is characterized by increasing globalization and technological advancement. Now more than ever, the continuous pursuit of economic prosperity and development has become very earnest and apparent. The effects of this development, however, coupled with the rapid rising of population growth bring adverse consequences to the environment.
One of the environmental problems that the world faces today is climate change. At the World Economic Forum 2018, climate change has now been recognized as a significant threat to society and the planet. It poses a variety of challenges which demand urgent action.
