Charitie Ropati, Indigenous Scientist & Founding Board Member, Intersectional Environmentalist, United States
Charitie Ropati is a leading advocate for Indigenous education and environmental justice. As a passionate educator and community leader, she has been instrumental in developing culturally relevant curricula for Indigenous students, particularly focusing on the integration of Native ways of knowing into science and environmental education. Charitie's work highlights the importance of Indigenous knowledge in addressing climate change and fostering sustainability practices. A member of the Native Village of Kongiganak in Alaska, she has been a vocal proponent of Indigenous sovereignty and environmental stewardship in the face of ecological challenges affecting Indigenous communities. Charitie has been recognized nationally for her contributions, including receiving the 2022 Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes. Jeanette Southwood is an award-winning engineer and a champion for women in sustainability. As Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Strategic Partnerships at Engineers Canada, she represents over 300,000 engineers nationwide. The first Black woman to be appointed Principal at a global consulting firm, Jeanette led sustainable urban development and infrastructure initiatives. Recognized as one of Canada’s Clean50 and twice named among WXN Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women, she is a dedicated advocate for women in engineering. Pamela Shainhouse is an award-winning founder, entrepreneur, and consultant with over 35 years of experience across sectors such as fashion sustainability, accessibility, and diversity consulting. As President of Allistyle Inc., Pamela led a groundbreaking fashion brand that catered to women of all sizes, focusing on sustainable, size-diverse clothing made in Canada. In 2012, Allistyle became the first size-diverse brand to showcase at Toronto Fashion Week. Pamela also serves as President of Alli's Journey, a charity founded in honor of her late daughter, Alli, to support young adults with cancer. - Kim Perrotta, Executive Director, CHASE - Canadian Health Association for Sustainability and Equity, Canada
Kim Perrotta holds a Master’s degree in Health Science and brings 40 years of experience in public health advocacy. She has authored over 25 health-based reports on topics such as coal plants, fracking, and active travel, and has led impactful campaigns on lawn-care pesticides, coal-fired power, and national transportation strategies. In 2019, Kim organized a Call to Action on Climate Change and Health, supported by 24 health organizations across Canada. As Executive Director of the Canadian Health Association for Sustainability and Equity (CHASE), she promotes the health and equity benefits of climate change mitigation. - Manjusri Misra, Professor & Tier 1 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Sustainable Biocomposites, University of Guelph, Canada
Dr. Manjusri Misra is a professor in the School of Engineering and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Plant Agriculture at the University of Guelph. As a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Biocomposites and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, she is supported by NSERC and is internationally recognized for her contributions to sustainable materials. Dr. Misra’s research focuses on biobased composites and nanocomposites from agricultural, forestry, and waste resources, aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. She has published over 850 works, holds 60 patents, and developed marketable compostable products, including coffee pods and cutlery. In 2020, she was named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women.

Alyssa Norris is the Director of Sustainability at Aether Fuels, where she leads efforts to decarbonize the aviation and marine shipping sectors. Raised on an airstrip in North Pole, Alaska, Alyssa's passion for aviation and air quality has driven her career. Before joining Aether Fuels, she developed energy projects across the U.S. with McKinstry and worked as a contractor at the U.S. Department of Energy, focusing on the clean energy transition. Alyssa also serves on the board of JetPerfect, a nonprofit dedicated to alternative energy for aviation, and volunteers with underrepresented women in STEM.

- Julia Bell, Chief Investment Officer, CleanCapital, United States
Julia Bell is the Chief Investment Officer at CleanCapital, a leading clean energy company that has deployed over $1 billion into solar and storage projects across the U.S. In her role, she oversees acquisitions, due diligence, and investments, expertly structuring and negotiating the company’s acquisition and development strategies. Before joining CleanCapital, Julia was an energy and project finance attorney at White & Case LLP, with experience in New York City and Mexico City. A key figure in shaping Canada’s journey to net-zero emissions, she serves on the Net-Zero Advisory Body and has founded the Canadian Affordability Action Council. Nicole Darnall is the Arlene R. and Robert P. Kogod Eminent Scholar Chair in Sustainability at American University, with joint appointments in the Kogod School of Business and the School of Public Affairs. She is also Foundation Professor Emerita at Arizona State University (ASU). Darnall’s award-winning research explores how organizational structures, technologies, and incentives drive transformative sustainability outcomes. She is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and holds prestigious fellowships from several international bodies. As president of the Group for Research on Organizations and the Natural Environment, she advances global sustainability research and advises on embedding sustainability into federal acquisitions.
